The background is just beautiful....and I like the griffins head, the rest of his/her body isn't quite as convincing..the back leg and claw in particular seems a little fudged. Lengthening the back leg and allowing it to dangle like a cats' does when in this position would I think work better than having the claw grip the tree as you have it.
